I think they just add rigidity. When I installed my skid plates I had to remove them for good.

take the axle out and take the boots off. inspect the bearings. if its ok clean and add grease. reboot and put it all back together. Takes me about 3.5 hours to do both sides. I do them every other oil change with over 200K miles and heavy off-roading.

I want to mount it on my Gobi ladder but there is no way I'm paying $100+ for the mount. Anyone have an idea? Simple clamp on the side of the bar.

I have the solenoid D code and have replace the internal wire harness and the solenoid but still have the code. I can clear the code after 7 minuets (exactly) and it will stay off until the next morning. then its back on. Im thinki9ng its a computer issue.

Where did you read to cut the red/white and splice.....?

P2716 pressure control solenoid D electrical. Have replaced internal wire harness because if corroded connector and I replaced the SLT solenoid. It seems to drive find. No hard shifting and the fluid and filter are new. Where do I go from here?

Where can I get this for my 05 4.7? is there a part number?
