I used to think silver was pretty plain myself but in the right light the metallic silver on these things really pops, almost has a liquid metal look to it. I love being able to go all the way through winter without a wash and it not look too filthy.
I used to have a black F-150 and swore to...
Thanks! I agree they complete the look of these vehicles, street tires look out of place.
I never minded the stock dunlops that much, I know a lot of people hate them. I probably could've squeezed another 10k miles out of them but found a good deal on the BFGs.
Hey, nice looking silver SR5 you've got there! :thumb3:
I just went with load range C. Majority of my driving is in town, but excited to have these when I head up to the hills and hit some forest service roads.
Took the bike out for my first ride in a couple of weeks with the rain in Georgia finally gone. I needed a head start on the post-thanksgiving weight loss lol
Then came home and washed the 4R for the first time since driving to Utah. Got a second workout getting some of the bugs off
Is that just off US-163 outside of Mexican Hat? I believed we drove by there on our drive to Moab from Monument valley. Caught it right as the sun dipped below the horizon so it was a beautiful area. Saw some people camping out there from the highway, looks like an awesome spot.
Hi all, thought I'd post an update. We did it! We departed Atlanta just after 5pm on Friday Oct. 19th and pulled back up to home just after 9pm on Sunday the 28th. Dash computer showed 4,414 total miles driven and clocked at just shy of 79 hours in the car. We spent a ton of time driving but...
Just did this in maybe 5 minutes tops, so incredibly easy. Asked the dealer out of curiousity at my last service and they wanted $50 to do this... no way.
This was also much better done with just the inserts rather than entire new assemblies like I used to do on past vehicles. Replaced these...
I was also tempted to go in a little more for the fuel to get the rear susp. but ended up just wanting the simplicity of a hardtail. The Roscoe coming with a dropper was also a huge plus. Glad to hear you’re happy with it!
Installed a Rockymounts monorail solo bike rack. Haven't driven with it yet but I mounted up the bike and it felt solid. Cool thing about this rack is an extension can be bolted to the end of it to make it a 2-bike carrier should I ever need to carry another. It also can tilt away to allow the...
I appreciate all the feedback! We’ll keep weighing our options. I definitely don’t want to make the trip then regret not taking enough time to enjoy our stops out there.
That’s been our biggest concern is trying to squeeze this much in a week. The parks each have way more than a day’s worth of exploring to them so I’d hate to cut any short. We’ve even debated foregoing the road trip and just flying out there and getting a rental, but something about road...
My fiance and I are currently planning a long road trip for late October. I'm hoping to get some advice or tips to know before taking on this trip, whether it be 4Runner specific or not. I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken a long trip and learned something along the way they wish they...
