Good point. But she's (V8) only got 113K miles and I would like to keep her forever. I also replaced the headlights with OEM and that was a fortune, LOL.
Plus a fool and his money are soon parted.
Looking for an OEM windshield and installation place for an '07 in the SF south bay area that is more reasonable priced than the dealer.
Anybody know of any?
Thanks

I found I could no longer get these rubbers at the local dealership or many of the...
I had a '96 V6 and my son has a 2000.
My wife has an '07 with the V8 and I like it the best of them all because of that engine. All of them automatics.
I have an '09 Tacoma and I wish they had an available V8 too.
Mfd 11 2007 with 9K miles your vehicle is still under warranty.
May be nullified because of the mods though? It might be worth it to check at a dealership. They should be able to pull up any previous dealer service and also let you know about your warranty.
Has anyone figured out why Tacoma's are being recalled and not 4Runners?
I have both and the gas pedal/mat deal looks identical to me.
I don't think I want them to chop off my gas pedal and remove carpet foam anyway but I was just curious.
They are lighter on the front windows to comply with some state laws (California for one).
I am pretty sure the reason is so the cops can see inside during a routine stop.
Put your window down (if tinted) when stopped in CA or you might be asked to step out at gunpoint.
Too many cops have been...
Exactly the same floor mats, hooks and gas pedal.
I can't figure out why my Tacoma would be affected and not my 4Runner?
As long as you keep the mats hooked up and DO NOT place any other mats on top of the stock ones you should be fine.
If you bought it locally maybe the local dealer has a service record in their computer.
But as has been stated, the dealer would put the sticker on the timing cover.
I wondered about the 4Runner mats too.
I also have a Tacoma and as far as I can tell the mats are identical. Same hook and eye deal.
I thought maybe the gas pedal might be different but I haven't really checked yet. The 4Runner went to work with my wife.
Lots of discussion over here too...
OK,
Got all the parts and installed them today.
Everything works great.
The switch looks and works great. I mounted it in an empty slot on the lower row of switches.
I wired the switch light (pin 1 & 2) to the adjacent switch light so it would come on with all the others (with head and parking...
It IS clear as mud, clearer in fact.
I got it.
I just had 1-2 & 3-4 reversed in my assumption.
Thanks, I will let you know how it works when I get all the parts together.
