Sorry this is an old thread but do you have a link to this? My cam timing marks are off by 1/2 tooth at TDC with a new chain and tensioner and I may need to advance the exhaust to fix it since I can't think of another way to stop the timing retard.

Is that the line to your PCV? I just did a timing job and almost forgot it, it runs from the top of the bank 2 valve cover to the right side of the intake manifold.
