    Tow Truck Uh Oh

Hate to say it, but it is totaled my friend. At least 3500-4k for a shop to fix that, commercially. Fight, and fight hard. Get a 3rd party involved if necessary. Rule of thumb: Don't ever let someone who owes you money determine how much money they owe you. For those referring to stated...

    R150F and R151F compatibility

I believe so.. That's a loose answer, though. You will have better luck on the Marlin Crawler forum for this question. R series experts over there.. Best I can remember, the 151 gear set is simply girthier than the 150, and the 1st gear is super low. If you head over to the marlin boards...

    Engine bay refresh project

Nice work, and it'll pay off. Ask your Powdercoater how the VCs were prepped. Unfortunatley, if they were sand blasted, I would proceed with extreme caution. The sand really likes to hide in the nooks and crannies *underneath* the baffles, making it nearly impossible to clean out. Then when...

**NEW 3rd Gen 4R "OEM+" Front Bumper Prototype**

Really, really looking forward to this, Addison! Can't wait to see the upper/lower bumpers installed on a 3rd gen. I may have to lose my winch for a front mount intercooler, pusher fans, and 25 row engine oil cooler, but it'll look menacing in the spot the winch is supposed to be in  I...

    Converting to coil on plug

Very common upgrade on other Toyota platforms such as the 1UZFE, which runs wasted spark from the factory. The Audi R8 sports car COPS snap right into that engine, for example. Now, the hard part is that converting to COP sometimes required a standalone engine management system.

    I did it: E85 on a Supercharged T4R

Very Nice! Will be adding a GM Flexfuel sensor to my 1uz turbo build so I can run E85 at-will, but don't have to run it as a mandate if I'm unable to find it. E85 is some amazing stuff.

    3rd Gen built 1UZFE + turbo + r150 swap

Thanks! No frame modifications will be needed, thank goodness. Retaining A/C and P/S makes things a little tighter with the hot side of the turbo system. But, there's still room. Little tricks like remote mounting oil filter help out. But our frame rails are plenty wide, it'll go in no prob

    3rd Gen built 1UZFE + turbo + r150 swap

I’ll be using the SupraStore/XAT adapter for the trans. You and me both! I’ve been thinking about this since 2018. Just seems logical in this truck. As much as I love the 5vz, these trucks just scream in need for more power

    3rd Gen built 1UZFE + turbo + r150 swap

For those who are interested in following along: 3rd Gen 4Runner is getting engine swap? (1UZ goodness inside) - YouTube Yes, I know this project makes no sense at all :) That’s why I love it. I really enjoy weird builds and being different. It’s going to be a slow project, so I really don’t...

    Shrockworks full skids price increase

Price of raw materials is up 100% compared to a few years back. It sucks for companies and consumers alike. That said, I love my Shrockworks skids and glad I got them when I did. They are heavier than all getout though. Which isnt a bad thing all the time..

3rd Gen Brand New, Never Installed CBI Group 31 Battery Tray- $90 shipped from NC

1996-2002 CBI Powder coated Group 31 battery tray. Brand new, never installed. I need all of the under-hood room I can get for the 1UZ V8 swap I'm doing. So, therefore, I need to sell this UNUSED tray. Here are the specs and details from CBI: CBI Offroad Fab - 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner...

WANTED: Toyota mechanic near Roanoke Virginia

I see in your signature that your truck has 289k on it. Have you ever replaced the lower balljoints? If not, new OEM ones should be #1 on your to-do list (for safety). They fail catastrophically.

WANTED: Toyota mechanic near Roanoke Virginia

Are you ever down in North Carolina, Raleigh area? I'd look for free. It's probably something relatively simple like lower control arm bushings or swaybar links. What does the clunking sound like, and what are you doing with the vehicle when it happens?
