As it turned out, the blower fan motor was on it's last leg (255k miles!). The case was full of graphite dust from the bushings. The commutator was pitted and worn through on one side. I was able to blow it out and hit it with some contact cleaner. I reinstalled and it worked fine...
j-dub, what exactly did you replace and where did you get it from? I think I have the EXACT same issues. Tried all the relay troubleshooting and no issues there. My fan was making noise right before it went out.
It's not that quite that hot in Alabama, but the humidity will make you cry!
