I put my bilsteins on the other day and I've noticed a huge improvement in ride quality. I'm still waiting on my black magic coils to show up so I can do a zuk mod. But I'm happy with my purchase on the bilsteins.
I'm not expecting a Cadillac ride at all. It's just a rough ride right now and I know my shocks are blown. Yeah my rear is sagging a bit I'm thinking I'll fix that with a zuk mod. The kyb monomax are about 15-20 less per shock than the bilsteins. The price doesn't matter I just want the best...
Yes I know there are a lot of posts out there about this and I've read through about all of them. I'm going to be ordering a new set of shocks for my runner and I can't decide. It's on 31's and its stock height and will be staying that way. It's a daily driver and occasional camping/fishing...
I had 14volts coming off the alternator with no major drops with stereo on or headlights. No I haven't checked that for corrosion next time I get a chance I will. I've been driving it for two days now with no issues.
Update: I removed and cleaned all my grounds used sand paper on all of them. Got another new alternator and replaced the connector that goes on top of the alternator. No charge light.
I did just get the lc engineering header and I had a shop wire up my oxygen sensor since I changed from a single wire to a four wire sensor. Maybe they didn't ground it properly? It was a reputable shop in my area though.
It's a kenwood 600watt amp and an alpine 12in sub. I've ran this setup in another vehicle with no problems. I couldn't think of the name of the cord I'm talking about. It's a red cord the runs from my amp to my battery and it has a fuze inside it. It's supposed to prevent my amp from drawing too...
I checked my battery water level a month ago and it was a little low but no other issues with the battery I can tell. I don't know what part of the alternator is burning up. I just took them to autozone and had them tested on the machine there. I do have an aftermarket stereo with speakers, amp...
So even though the alternator checks out in autozones testing machine they could still be bad? I don't even know what else to check. And I have checked everything with a volt meter it all looks good.
Hey guys,
I have an 87' 4Runner with a fresh rebuilt 22re motor only 9500 miles on it. In the time since I rebuilt it I've gone through 3 alternators now and I'm starting to wonder if there's something I'm missing. The original one was bad so I got a new one from autozone. It was fine for...
No it's not stuck in accessorie setting. Everything is running without the key in it and the doors shut. I may have to get an ignition switch like Ktm said.
Hey guys
My 1987 sr5 is having what I'm going to guess is an ignition issue. With no keys in it the door buzzer stays on, my deck and amp are on and the little clock is on too. The only way my battery won't die right now is if I disconnect it. It's probably something simple but how do I fix this?
