We use Thule crossbars and the Hullavators. Really think that if your gonna use the hullavators for lighter kayaks they would work perfect for you. We use them for Hobie fishing kayaks and they require a little help getting them up.

Tow an RPod all over the place, redarc brake controller, 1k helper air bags and an Anderson sway hitch. 4Runner doesn’t like steep inclines but not bad. We tow with the O/D off.

They are from Amazon, don’t recommend them. They gave the screw type connectors instead of the clip type. Worked but wished they clipped like our hatch supports.
Yes I did use angle iron to mount the slides but used the factory slide holes that are in the floor. I had to redneck a bracket to relocate the front holes so that I could use the 3” angle. I used 2x4 blocks in the rear and a cut piece if 1x6 in the front to keep the angle level with the floor...
Finished up getting the 32” slides bolted to the floor. Still have some sewing to do on the canvas back then start on building the frame for the drawer.
Suma mirrors
Got the Suma performance mirrors installed. Great quality and easy install. Decided on the non-blue vs the blue tint. Have not had them out on the road yet but soon. Thanks to Eddy for great communication with the order.
Now this is a funny thread that hits home. Ordered a custom graphic from Etsy for my hood scoop and then decided it was time to do the rear slide. Slides are on backorder:sobbing: got my list together for the rest of the materials, time to spend a little money.
I’ve been kicking around the idea of upgrading to after market. Floating heads have become the new normal for a lot of mfgs and they grow on you after being around them a bit. The Alpine seem just a little to “square” for our rigs but pioneer announced a few new units coming out that are a...
Wtb
I am looking to purchase a complete slide setup if anyone has one they want to part with. In the meantime I will keep a eye out at wrecking yards. I’m in the Dallas area.
Thanks
Looks like the time I changed filters and the old ring was still mated to the block causing me to tighten the new filter against the leftover seal. This was not on the runner though.
Yes it came with the waterproof harness. Just wired them via add a fuse into the panel. The lightbar is a 30” that I got from amazon years back. I’m sure there are better ones now.
