    Best clear corners

Interesting point, I was not aware of drop-shippers. But to be honest, I bought from Ebay in the past and was ready to try something different at the time. Since he has them on his own rig, I figured he has at least used the product and is happy with it. Perhaps there are quality options now...

    Best clear corners

I switched from a set of ebay clear corners to the Burtman ones and I have been very happy so far. The last pair let in moisture, like yours, but the ones from Burtman are definitely worth the few extra bucks so you don't have to worry about the replacing them under warranty or buying a new...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed some 400lb silver coils to my Toytec adjustable set up (perfect for my 2wd 3rz). However you may find out that the normal spring compressors don't quite work with the thinner diameter coils and shock body. So I had to come up with this kajigger to get the coils off. There were no...

    Vibrations from 60-70mph

Bigger tires and 231mm tundra brakes blew through my 20 year old oem LCA bushing and trashed new aftermarket LC Arms/bushings within a year. You'll feel it in the steering wheel and when doing any hard braking if it is your LCA bushings. This can often be mistaken for OTR failure or alignment...

    Overheating and whining noise.

I think the AC compressor sliding mechanism has something lodged in it or needs some lube. A while back my AC had some noise issues and would drain engine power when on. So I thought "must be a bad bearing" and got a new bearing only to open it up (which was not easy) to find that there was rust...

70 mph vibration and trans slip yolk leak fixed

Mine has been a long journey: original 2wd rubber rear bushing/slipjoint worn out=vibes, junk yard drive shaft was not balanced (balancing helped) and front slip yolk had slack= vibes, new driveshaft but took out elocker to adjust backlash=few vibes but got worse over time. So 3 things to...

70 mph vibration and trans slip yolk leak fixed

There were two problems that seemed to be getting worse and worse after driveshaft install: 70 mph vibrations at all 4 driveshaft positions and a constant leak from the back of the trans. Originally my old drive shaft had a worn out slip yolk that had some slop, causing some vibration on...

Need 2 Inch Lift In Front (Options Please)

There is always driver side lean so with aftermarket springs I would recommend an adjustable coilover (like the 5100's if you are 4x4 or have some weight in the front). OEM springs have a thicker and thinner front spring to account for this.

**Rear Coil Spring Discussion - The Perfect 3rd Gen Rear Spring**

ACDelco 45H2131 Professional Rear Coil Spring Set Amazon.com: ACDelco 45H2131 Professional Rear Coil Spring Set: Automotive This has been the best rear spring setup I have had with stock weight. I have had OEM setups that were never controlled well by the 5100's without significant weight in...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Burtman Spoiler Working up the courage to install the spoiler from Burtman Industries... I just like the clean lines and no fuss of no spoiler while washing the 4runner. With that said, the paint job is beautiful and matches perfectly.

LCE 35lb flywheel is a game changer for my 3rz-fe

One of the first things I noticed was that the MC clutch did not feel like my previous 1200lb clutch. I wouldn't have been surprised if someone said they accidentally replaced it with the stock 900lb clutch. While I haven't pushed it too hard yet to test that claim, the pedal feel was very light...

LCE 35lb flywheel is a game changer for my 3rz-fe

Problem For a while now I have had to raise the rpms so I wouldn't get the forward lurch of my driveline pushing my 32 inch tires on a 3rz/4.30 elocker gearing. Even with an upgraded pressure plate that had plenty of grabbing force, there simple wasn't enough inertia in the driveline to smoothy...

Quick pull to one side while hard braking

I had all the same symptoms too, no pull at low speeds and jerking/grabbing with higher speeds or more abrupt braking. I tried hunting down the problem in my brake system only to find the lca and steering rack bushings were toast.
