It's not like you lose out completely on the work that was done - you will have un-cracked manifolds to sell. You could probably get a couple hundred for those on ebay to offset the cost.

I'm in for the 05-09.
My 06, 140K, has been ticking for awhile now. Every time I took it in for a major service, I asked the dealer what it was they said it was typical V8. Now I finally have a guy who confirmed the cracked manifold - probably didn't hurt that it was the only reason I took it in.
