i changed the fuel filter and plugs about a month a month ago aftermarket filter though , toyota wanted 48 for a fuel filter.. oem plugs and airfilter. it does seem to take awhile to start but without a way for me to check fuel pressure ( no schrader valve) im hesitant to replace the pump...

Wet test means your rings are going bad dont stress it you will do more harm than good . With those miles that motor is fine . Spend the money on the sc . That's 2 car payments

No one mentioned run 87 low compression engines will run the same if not worse on. 93 due to the only difference is its meant for a longer burn which to dont have or need due to the low compression goodluck compression. Test and if you have some sticking valve try some gm top engine cleaner...

Sounds like you have low compression on a whole bank... New head bolts with the head gasket ? Sure the head wasn't warped causing the leaking head gasket ?

On gms it's the vent valve it gets stuck closed and causes excessive pressure so it won't allow anything in
