Thanks for the responses. The 4Runner is apparently more sensitive than either my Subaru, Nissan, or previous Toyotas. Does it have some sort of ABS override?

Just bought a 2014 4Runner SR5 and want to install black nerf bars. Can anyone suggest brands that will hold up and aren't likely to rust after three years? Any good dealers in Wash/Ore? Anything I should be aware of? SS would have been nice but just does't fit in with the color.
