Started maintenance on my 99 by replacing the rear diff fluid along with new drain plug, fill plug and crush washers.
There was a pinhole leak in the rear diff, so we cleaned it and filled/covered it with WaterWeld.
There was about 1.5 quarts remaining and it was pure black. Given the dark...
Thats good to know, thank you both. I have receipts for a new radiator in Jan 2020 from the previous owner, so I'm good to go there.
I'm comfortable with the fluids, but I'd need to do some more research on the bushings first. I'm sure there forum posts on them out there.

Any suggestions for LBJ for a weekend toy that is mainly driven on roads and forest service roads/fire roads with minimal four-wheeling and nothing crazy?
I know most people are a fan of OEM's, but I'm looking at something that will last for ~40k miles or so.
I'm making a list of maintenance items that I want to perform on my truck. So far it's: Lower Ball Joints (over 200k miles and new to me), Tundra Brake Upgrade (front brakes at 25%) and Valve Gasket Replacement (noticeable oil leak on the engine).
This is a great question and one I've been asking myself recently. It's good to see other people's response but seems like a personal decision everyone has to make.
