if you are going to be doing this often, you could upgrade the stock hitch to a full frame hitch, similar to what comes on the V8 4runners. The V6 does not have a "tow package" per say.

The answer is yes, you can pull a camper with that hitch because it is rated to 5,000 lbs. BUT - depends on what type of camper you are looking at too. I think the Toyota manual says anything over 3,000 lbs they recommend the weight distribution hitch instead of the factory weight carrying...
