I contacted the seller and it seems that they sent me a remote for a "dealer installed lock/unlock." Mine is factory installed.
I am in the process of getting the right remote now.. a tad more expensive though..

I lost one facory remote and destroyed the other. I went cheap ($15.10) and bought one off of eBay. The directions include pressing a button or sticking a paper clip in the hole on the side of the ECU. According to Toyota and a poster here the ECU (Body) is part of the fuse...
