if you have the sport model with fake hood scoop it keeps water from falling on top of the engine, pooling in unseen parts. with a regular hood, it's not a much needed item.

PIAA silicone. 13 years sitting out here in the socal sun and they still work.

when i had spacers on, i used blue just for a bit of added reassurance, and torqued to 85 ftlbs.

yup it's true! metra, scoche, etc offer 2 part#'s for different trim kits when installing aftermarket radios. one set is a pair of filler wings that mount to the sides of the radio to fill in the smaller style opening. the other kind is a beveled frame a radio sits into to fill up the larger...

there are 2 different factory radio sizes(basic am/fm,cd and the premium jbl) as well as 2 different sized openings in the center dash. you can try looking on ebay for a larger opening version dash
