It’s performed more or less the same out of the box as it has after a few firmware updates at this point. It works well when the device boots up properly, the issue is that it only boots up without errors 20% of the time.
Exchanging it is probably impossible considering they don’t even answer...

I have one of these on a 2022 ORP and it only boots up successfully 20% of the time when the car is started. The other 80% of the time I need to keep unplugging it and re-plugging it in or I will get a "BT Error" that doesn't go away. When it boots up correctly it's pretty much smooth sailing...
