Custom build a full length. No regrets with the length. It's tube and has a bit of wind noise but not too bad as a 60 mile freeway daily driver. Figure out what you want to do with it and that will tell you the length. I needed a stable base to carry a canoe without tying to the front & rear...

Once you get the sunroof open you can fix the leak. There's a seam on the front of the gasket. Over time, the gasket shrinks and the seam splits. I fixed mine by completely removing the sunroof glass with gasket. Opening the seam up to about 1/16" and then using Black Super Weatherstrip...

This has treated me great. My wife loves the ride. It performs great on trails. We did the first 2 miles of the Rubicon this past summer and it handled everything just fine. (Only the first 2 miles as it was still snowed in past that point.) Picture was just this evening.

Option 3 is the best of the three options you gave, but isn't the best suspension option (IMO). Springs and Shocks work together to form a system. If you go with option 1, you will jack the rear end into the air. I think it's about 3 inches for the 891 and it's 3-5 inches for the LC 80 coils...

Harbor Freight 20 ton press is what I used. Had to make a couple press plates, but it worked really well. I think it was about $150 after coupon and tax.

I bought the Timken bearing off rockauto for $62 each. Was very pleasantly surprised when the bearings were stamped KOYO in a Timken box. Everything (all numbers and markings) was the same as the factory bearing that I removed. After some research, it looks like Timken bearing are made by koyo.
