    AC Amplifier replacement 4th gen 4runner

    Hey Syr4RinNC or others of knowledge. I'm having a similar but different issue with my A/C that maybe you have some experience with or could provide input When I first start the car for the day, the A/C will work for about 10-20 minutes blowing cold air. Then the A/C light will start flashing...

    2008 4runner Master Cylinder piston, I found the part # and fixed it!!!

    Appreciate the tag! I'm not on here as often as I used to be, but happy to keep everything maintained. Got it added under the brakes section!

    Where has everyone gone?

    Really appreciate the kind words! I'm working on the brakes today, so maybe I'll get a few pics and upload later this weekend!

    Where has everyone gone?

    I used to post a bunch, but I guess I've just slowly shifted priorities and haven't been as focused on as much 4runner stuff as I used to. I'm on the facebook pages too, but I rarely keep up with them anymore. I still have a half baked writeup on suspension install, that I never got around to...

    Whiteline Lower Control Arm Bushing Tutorial (120+ Pictures)

    Yes I am still very satisfied with the Whiteline bushings! The import direct ball joints appear to be holding up well too, although the last time I got in to shake everything was summer time. The 4runner now has ~258k and they were installed around 208k iirc, so its been 50k issue free miles!

    y=mx+b's Build Thread

    Yeah all the parts were sitting there, so it was just a days worth to swap it all over. I did have to add 0.5" bora spacers and longer lug nuts because of the +30 of the 4th gen wheels vs +15 on the FJ. I'm getting about 14mpg avg, but it can sometimes be up in the 16-17 range if I keep the...

    y=mx+b's Build Thread

    went back to the normal mode for the drive back to VA and just to see what it feels like. I don't notice the height difference much when I'm inside, but I do notice the dobinsons shocks and spring ride a lot better than the stock suspension. It is the 200k+ mile original suspension, buuut still...

    y=mx+b's Build Thread

    Been a while since I've been on here. I'm going back to VA for the Holidays, so I'm likely going to take off the big tires and suspension. I still have the highway tires from 3 years ago mounted on the stock wheels and all the suspension bolts are fresh, so shouldn't be too much hassle. There is...

    CV Joints boots cracked, replace axle now or wait?

    They should not be failing this often. Is in the inner or outer boot? If inner, boot stretch may be good for you. Mine have been on about 50k since rebooting without issue and decent mix of on/off road. Some pics of boot stretch in a writeup here: CV Reboot Tutorial with Boot Stretch (80+ Pictures)

    y=mx+b's Build Thread

    Dang I don't really get on here as much as I used to, which is a bummer. I got a little burnt out of working on cars for a bit, especially after fixing the rear frame since it was on such a time crunch. Eventually, I will get to typing it all up because I have oodles of pictures. But since I...

    CV Reboot Tutorial with Boot Stretch (80+ Pictures)

    The rolled edge worm clamps, as well as all the other parts, are linked on the first page. I used these specific ones: Set of 8-Toyota 4Runner CV Axle Repair Clamps Kit, Leaking Boots after Lift Kit | eBay The outer boots are a more plasticy material vs the inner boots more rubbery type...

    Lower A Arm Maintinance

    I'd suggest renting a ball joint press and then you can see if you like it without any monetary investment. Most auto parts stores will rent them for free. I had no complaints using a ball joint press and an impact to get ball joints out or back in. Used the same ball joint press setup to...
