Metal Tech or ShrockWorks Sliders ????

Not going to read through the whole thread but I went with the true Metaltech (not the OPOR) sliders. These things are bulletproof. I was only the second set they had made for my model (I guess 99.9% of the people go with the cheaper OPOR). Well worth the wait and the money. That said, both...

    What winch for shrockworks bumper

M8000s is your best choice and what I put in. Don't go with a cheaper winch... with the shrockworks it is nice and protected. Synthetic is also very much worth the extra money.

nav is pretty out of date on 2014

I have had similar experiences. Compared to other vehicles navs/computers I have driven, including many luxury models, my Entune experience has been great. Entune beats out all of them. The Nav is helpful, I don't have to use a stupid dial to enter my destination, the voice recognition kicks...

    Battery drain question

I haven't had that issue with my Diehard PM1, but if it is with your truck you could always keep one of these in the glove box...: Micro-Start PPS XP-1 They work great and have been tested in the overland community. At Overland Expo West 2014 some guys tied a few together and actually welded...

nav is pretty out of date on 2014

I think it also depends on where you are at. In Texas, my GPS has been great and includes roads that were completed as recently as 2013! On top of this every Texas State Park I have been too has had all it's roads (paved and not) mapped as well as the national parks I have visited.

    Leveling for bumper and winch

5100's, when I was running them on a stock truck, definitely made a world of difference, totally agree. I think what jrandom said is the best advice from all the info we have on your needs... buy with confidence!

    Leveling for bumper and winch

Lifetime alignment from Firestone ($150) is well worth it if you can find the right shop in your area. Some aren't the best, but I was fortunate in finding a good one and the alignment tech loves my truck. Every where else I got a quote was close to that anyway and that was just for one...

    Leveling for bumper and winch

If you can afford it, going with adjustable coilovers in the front will be your best bet. When you add a winch to the front you can level it back out. ICON's have been one of the best investments I have made in the truck. It may seem expensive, but there is something in doing it right the first...

Give Your Opinion: Top 5 Mods?

Agreed. I have been thoroughly impressed with A-Trac. Having owned vehicles in the past with lockers as well as experiencing Land Rover's offroad traction system (very impressive) in my own. The new Toyota A-Trac is really top notch and has performed better than Land Rover's in my experience...

Give Your Opinion: Top 5 Mods?

Quality tires are all you really need with these trucks. After that depends on what you are doing. In regards to the lockers question-- If you are doing something you are going to need the use of lockers... I would first get a quality winch installed and learn proper winching techniques...

    New suspension from OME!

They do like nice, but don't think they are going to blow away the competition (ICON, etc.)...nor intend too... I think in reality it just allows ARB/OME to stay relevant to a small market share they haven't, up until this point, had a product for. I went with ICON over OME because they had the...

Bilstein 5100 1.75 Setting Caster Angle

When I had my bilsteins they were at 2.5" and, like stifler said, no alignment issues. I went with new UCA's w/ the Icon's at 3".
