How much work would a head gasket repair/ replacement be? I want to do the work myself but have a very vague understanding of these things. How do other people work on cars- a manual or do they just know what to do?

what are some good engine swaps for 2nd gens? I have two non running 95s with engine problems and am looking to do a swap. One of my neighbors suggested an Ls swap but I didn’t know if that was feasible. Feedback would be appreciated!

New member here and I don’t have enough replies to make my own thread- but can y’all give me your opinion on how much an engine swap would be for a 95? And problems I could run into with it as it hasn’t been running for a couple years.
