I had a long antenna on my Wrangler.... it was helpful as a gauge to see if I would fit under overhangs and inside garages.

It doesn't give you the electronic blind spot monitoring... ...it's just that these mirrors have the little parabolic sections on the outer edge that allows you to see your blindspot in the mirror.

I have put the Cooper Discoverer AT3 on 2 of my previous vehicles (wrangler and xTerra). I just put the Yokohama g015 on my 4Runner and so far I prefer them... but who knows how they will hold up over time. (A lot of people like to talk about how poorly the Cooper's wear)

Nice comparison. My working theory is in order to keep shipping 4runners with the same feature sets amidst the chip shortage, they've reverted to using older camera modules... the screen isn't the issue, it's that the output of the camera module is decreased.

You mean like the doors on the 4runner? I have to admit, this feels like a solution looking for a problem. Unless I'm mistaken, the instance of key programming to steal a car is extraordinarily rare and specific... I can't really imagine a situation in which a thief is motivated enough to...

Just spitballing here: Do the newer head units have a different diffuser on the face of the screen that the previous ones didn’t? My 2021 TRD OR has a matte finish on the screen that does a great job diffusing reflections and hiding fingerprints, but has the effect of softening the image...
