What I am wondering is that if the car is on P gear, automatic transmission of course, and pushing the gas pedal will that cause any pressure on the transmission

I never tried it, but always wondered what will happen if you press the gas pedal while the car on parking, P, gear. Will the parking pawl break?

I just bought a new 4runner. The other day I pulled up from a parking, reverse, and drove for about 20 feet when I realized that the parking-brake is on. I stopped right away and turned off the parking brake. Do you guys know if that will cause any damage to the car? I appreciate your reply.
