The fact that the current 4runner is almost gone is probably feeding into sales too. That was one thing that motivated me to pull the trigger. I don't want a hybrid, turbos, 10 speed auto, or more complicated electronics. It's a proven package.

Another recommendation for the OEM Toyota refills. They are just as good, and in some cases much better than aftermarket wipers.

Good quality car covers have soft lining that won't damage the finish if the car is clean, but any dirt on the finish and it's over. I stopped using them decades ago just because they are a colossal PITA. A retractable awning might work for you.

Looks like a good way to tap in and have a switch to keep the front unlocked when in low range. I have a mechanical posi-lock cable on my K1500 to do the same thing to get 2WD low. That and it eliminates the electronics.
