This is a depressing thread, only a handful of posts in 7 plus years. Is there anyone from Montana that is still active on here?

Well might as well bump this thread to see if anyone is still around.
I'll be picking up an 03 Runner this thursday down in Idaho.
Had a 97 tacoma before, then an audi a3, so time to get back in a yota.
Its a sport, 4.0, lifted with front and rear shockworks, arb locker, and some other small goods.
You guys all pretty happy with your runners? I really wanted a 3rd gen but I think this will do well, more power and more space will be nice.
Im in butte if anyone is still around.

Woods Bay (south of Bigfork) - just stumbled on this thread - didn't know it existed (guess it barely does). Hope my fellow Montanans are well.
I picked up a Red '14 SR5 4x4 Premium a couple of months ago and love it. Already put 4K miles on it, about half on dirt and gravel, but I don't know many trails other than lots of forest roads and local stuff - nothing very challenging. The wife and I have been out shooting photos - mostly wildlife - around the National Bison Range, Glacier NP, Hungry Horse Res., all over the Swan Valley, over Jocko Road and anywhere else that's out of cell range and not too far from home. We'll probably also be checking out Koocanusa and maybe Yak sometime soon to see the larches in color.
Anybody know of some good trails around these parts? Would really appreciate some pointers on fun rides - not too extreme because I'm running stock for now, but I do know how to drive it. Longer trips on our radar are the Pryor Mountains (have read about the trails and scenery), maybe Yellowstone (have to play around Beartooth region) and our favorite haunt - the desert in southern Utah (hiking slot canyons) - plenty of great, remote rides down there! You all know the snow is coming soon so, while that's fun too, anything up high get closed or dicey. I'm looking for things to do next spring.
Thanks and Keep Runnin' - Brian In Montana

Moving back!!!!!
Alright we need to get the ball rolling here! Moving back to Helena in December! (not my favorite place but MONTANA never the less!) I will be moving from SoCal back to Helena; Graduated from UM Missoula in December 2011. Lived for roughly 2 years in Missoula and 1/2 a year in Helena. Hope to see you guys around. We should set something up, maybe hit a moderate trail, a meet up, or even rally up at a brewery somewhere.
1994 4x4 V6 3.0Slow. 2inch lift. Winch coming this winter as well as some other recovery goodies.
Decent with a wrench, Better with a beer.

New to the forum, just joined yesterday but not new to 4runners or anything mechanical for that matter. Among my stable, I have a 95 3.0, lifted and regeared, etc. I'm in the Deer Lodge area and have a few places I go to have some fun. Would be cool if we could get some people together and go play around in the mountains.

Nice youre decently close by. Check out that link I poseted a few posts up for tacomaworld. Its still a bit quiet but a bit more active on there. We should try to get at least one big 4 runner meet up. I got a buddy with a 89 and his wife has a 04 so they would be down.

What's up folks. I'm in Bozeman, at least for the moment, graduating in the spring. I've seen a couple sweet T4Rs around here, seems like a meetup would be feasible.
I'm still living the poor student life so I'm stock unfortunately.

I've been seeing a few more modded 4runners, Tacomas and FJ's around Billings and Bozeman lately. I actually just saw the Equipt Expedition Outfitters 4Runner in the Big Bear parking lot yesterday here in Billings. I'd be down to meet up with a few people if they're still around.
