well you dont have to use a spacer, which in turn makes your "lift" more functional. spacers are more for look. i mean if you dont plan on really wheelin all that much or not too hardcore or anything than thats fine. the only bad thing about the 882's and 883's is they need the ome struts which are $$$$ thats why i went with the toytec badged eibach coils (equivalent) to a 883 OME and the bilstein struts set at the lowest setting. also if you wanna forget the front coils you can use your stock fronts and just get the bilstein 5100's and put them at the highest setting and it gives you 2.5" lift. and toytec sells 1/4" spacers that give you another 1/2" to give you the full 3". but if you plan on build ing bumpers like i do get the heavier coils.

Yeah it's more for looks, not too much wheeling. Want it to look good and have a ok ride.

I would avoid spacer lifts...never heard good things about 'em (not the best ride and makes the coils sag even more) and those who run them usually end up swapping them out for a better lift later anyway.

IIRC, 881's give about 2.5'' of lift, so you would want to get these if you want a "raked" stance, if you pair them with rear OME 890's (they give 3'' of rear lift). 883's give a full 3'' of lift and the 882's give 3'' of lift with an aftermarket front bumper. Don't get the 882's, unless you're gonna get an ARB, or other type of bumper. They will ride super stiff without the extra weight.
