Excited to have my new 4Runner
Just wanted to make my first post after many months of browsing the forums. I picked up my new 2011 4Runner Limited 4x4 today! After going back and forth about buying a 4Runner or the new Explorer, I am happy I made this choice!
I have everything on this vehicle that I wanted except for the trailer hitch. For some reason over here in Italy I could not get it with the factory hitch. I need some help finding one, because there are not very many Toyota dealers over here, and they mostly deal with small cars and the Hilux. So if anyone knows how I can get one, please contact me!
Thanks!
Also interested in getting the crossbars!

Hitch
@Qjake
I purchased the 4Runner through an overseas military auto exchange program, and it was not offered over here in Italy. So I am looking to purchase one now. It comes wired with connectors, no hitch though.

Didn't find a rear trailer receiver/hitch on anything auto. Only the front mount. Does anyone know if I can order it through a dealer? It s not possible for me to get one from my dealer here in Italy.

Are you looking for the hitch or the receiver?
Here are some ball receivers.

I found a couple of OEM part numbers but I'm not sure which year they are for. They seem to run around $240 + shipping.
PT214-89010
PT228-89440
Hopefully someone else here can confirm which part it is, or if it's something completely different.
If you have any junk yards I'd check those too. good luck!

Thank you very much! I looked up the part number and found a couple companies listing them. I will give them a call and see if it is the correct part.
Junk yards wont be much help over here in Italy!

Wow it gone. Found the item in the collsion repair manual on P27. Toyota calls it a PINTLE HOOK SUPPORT TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Also in the Repair Manual on P3388. Sorry no luck on part numbers.
