Smile Looking for a 3rd generation manual 4R with 130k miles or lower

Hello everyone,

(SF Bay Area)

I just made this account today, and I am wondering if anyone is selling a 4R -1996-2000 with manual transmission, with (hopefully) under 130k miles, but I would still love to check out anything you have to offer me. My price range is high enough, so that is not my issue.

Thank you!

Nikolai

Wow, you've just asked for the perfect rig that every hopeful T4R owner dreams of. Some do actually "luck out" and stumble upon these. From what I've seen, this requires a great deal of patience and research/luck! I myself 'trolled' for a year... and in the end, I found myself the condition I desired, but the 5 speed just didn't exist. I also didn't get a rig equipped with an e-locker. The desirability factor of my rig was the 'showroom' state---- zero rust--- this rig was garage kept all its life and was undercoated when new. It also had 120k miles. The compromise was of course, auto and no e-locker. The search was fun, frustrating, and, at times, nerve-racking. In the end, I love my truck! Good Luck!

For the past two weeks I've been sniffing around. I have a 150k 2000 4R on craigslist scoped out and another at a dealer, each with around 140k miles. But, even though I am only 18, my first car was a cherokee (auto) and I've always felt as if I really needed a manual instead. It just brings the entire driving experience. But thank you, I am determined to find one that is a keeper!
