Hi everyone. New member. I've been visiting this site for research into modifications that I've done to my truck and wanted to give thanks to the members who took the time to post such great information that allowed me to complete those modifications successfully.
I purchased a 98 4runner in 2008 with 119k miles and its been so reliable that when it hit 200k miles I decided to apply some modifications; mostly for looks (rusty rear bumper). The best mod so far was the tundra brake upgrade. I don't know why I haven't done it sooner but man what a difference with stopping! On the downside the tire size is killing my gas mileage and horsepower (I knew the risk but wow). Possible future upgrade is a TRD super charger or a Toyota v8 swap but with emissions law that may be a challenge.
Maybe I'll play around with tire size, less headache. Here are some pics, before and after.
