1993 Toyota 4-runner :(
Hi all,
I joined this forum to get more information and possibly help with my mates 4-runner (which is a 3.0 V6 Petrol). It developed a rear coolant leak and he asked if I could have a look at it for him. After a large amount of hours trying to find out there the leak was coming from I found it. It is coming from the return heater hose after the heater core. When I say hose, I mean the metal elbow which is going back into the engine. (Please see attached photo of the same engine I found on the net, I have circled the elbow in question). The question I have is, how do you repair this? Is it a complete engine out job? I used a pressure kit to see where the leak was and it seems to be right on the end of the elbow as it goes into the engine. (Its very hard to work or see this as the exhaust goes right pass it) Any help would be great, while I am not a 4-runner owner, I would love this one to be up and running again as I think it has a lot of life in her yet!! Thanks!!
