Greetings from Arizona!

Hello everyone!

At the moment I am without a T4R but I do have a Tacoma. I am looking to be a T4R owner in the very near future and would like some assistance in finding the right T4R for my needs (and budget). My plan is to sell my 2wd Tacoma Prerunner Sport to fund the purchase and build of the 4wd T4R. I'm looking at a total budget of no more than $10K. I don't have a lot of mechanical ability, so I tend to farm out the repair/mod work to others. Stuff like simple unbolt this and install that new part either I or my friends can help me with. That being said .....

.... my needs are for the most part of mild to medium wheeling (no rock crawling or cliff climbing, etc). Perhaps a minor stream crossing or two on occasion. I'm mostly a stay on the fire road kind of guy, but some of the roads can be pretty worn and rutted out here in the desert/mountain areas of AZ. And steep too! (Ever been to the top of the Harquahalla Mountains!?!)

Oh .... and its going to be my daily driver too!

Whatever suggestions you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dave

Welcome to T4R!
Take a look in the Vehicles For Sale section, you might find what you're looking for.

Welcome Dave!

For what you're looking for in a 4Runner, you should have no problem finding a great rig. I am part of multiple clubs around Phoenix and I know a bunch of 4Runner owners, I know people at most of the off road shops, have some great friends who are fabricators, and I'm pretty handy when it comes to working on rigs.

Let me know when you're ready to go shopping and I'll ask around, I'm sure you'll have multiple options when you're ready.

Thanks everyone! I see a 91 T4r on cL for 2500 up in Cottonwood. I'm wondering what I can expect for fuel mileage on these rigs? With 32 in BFG AT's and a mild lift. I'm avg'ing about 18 with my Tacoma now.
