Been lurking the forums for a few weeks, mostly checking out build threads. Decided to join up to ask for recommendations of a vehicle (or, more likely, trim & options in 5th Gen T4R form) for my needs, and ran into this "15 post minimum" limitation. Having been involved in hundreds of forums since the late 90's, moderated a dozen (several having over 50k members), and made hundreds of thousands of posts, I have to say rules like this are some serious bullshit and a huge turn off for new members.

Hi there everyone, I'm a newb to this forum and I'm back in a Toyota. I joined to share some past experiences and what it will be like to use a 4Runner as a rep mobile. I cover Colorado to Montana. I will be driving about 50-60 k this year and I want to share the experience of a road rep in a fun outdoor industry.

I forgot to mention that the main reason I joined was to support the member making the "behind the grill light mounts" They look like first class type of workmanship .......

Another reason to join was to share tire experience.... How many posts does this make????

Hey Guys, I'm new here and just bought a '04 SR5 4X4 V6, I put a roof rack on it, and it had Nitto Trail Grapplers on it when I bought it. I had a 3rd gen in high school, went to an '06 Sequoia Limited 4X4 and had some real issues with the 4X4, so after that went to a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4. I live in Mississippi and hunt regularly but I already have hunting trucks sooooo I decided to sell it and take the profits to buy my current rig. I got it for a great price and with 130k it feels to be back in the club. Ready to do some modding and see what kind of capabilities these 4th Gens have. Hope to see yall in the future.

My Entune also completely shuts off about every 6-7 minutes while using the USB port to charge my IPhone. The Entune is fine if I use a normal charging port.

I also have the drivers side seat squeak when it's sub 20 degrees.... Yep, if there is something that goes wrong, it will be my truck.... I feel like this is going to be a similar experience as my last two Jeeps, except I won't get stranded....

After owning three Isuzu Troopers over the past (almost) 30 years, I finally had to retire the last one and get something else. So last week I bought a new 2016 4Runner. So far I'm loving it, although I really dislike the disadvantages of the lift back as opposed the rear doors that the Trooper had.

What's up guys, I just got a 2015 4Runner SR5 from one of my Toyota stores here in Texas. I just did a 2.5" level kit and add some 285/70/17 tires along with a roof rack. I have a 02 Jeep Wrangler that is pretty tricked out so I'm not new to off roading. I honestly got the 4Runner because I was tired of loosing money on my trucks, I was just putting to much miles on them with how much I drive. So I got a 4Runner since they hold value so well... And I was able to get a brand new one from a store for under 34...

Well long story short I feel in love with this thing!! I honestly feel a little bad for my jeep because I rather go in the 4Runner. I do a lot of outdoor activities like kayaking, camping, mtn biking, ect. So I plan on doing additional mods to the runner like front end replacement bumper, rock sliders, and other stuff. So hopefully y'all can help guide me to the right products.

Also I'm a director for AutoNation... So if any of y'all are looking for a car or truck let me know, I'll be more than willing to help.
