Tired of waaaaiting

Used to own a 1980 Toyota 4x4 (solid axles)... first vehicle... and a 1995 Tacoma.

Newish member here from North Atlanta (Forsyth). Have been using the SEARCH function and getting lots of info. Have a 2006 V8 and recently installed a Dobinsons 2.5/1.5 lift and 255/70r18 Wildpeaks. No rock crawling for me, but looking forward to hitting the trails with the kids and wife.

Hi All. I have been skimming and enjoying the content here for quite some time and finally signed up today. I purchased a 2020 Army Green TRD Pro and expecting it to be arriving in the next 3-4 weeks. Excited to finally be able to join in the discussions and start mods of my own.

Hi, I recently became the owner of a 99 T4R SR5 (I got it from a family member), and I'm learning a lot about the T4R by reading this great website! I'm currently getting it restored to stock specs. It was in storage for many years, and the original 3.4L engine could not be turned over (i.e. was seized up) when taken out of storage, so a donor 3.4L engine was swapped in. My odometer was around 180,000 miles at the time of engine swap. The mechanic said the donor engine has about 60,000 miles on it. Otherwise, it's all original equipment. It runs pretty good overall, but I'm working through all the little "gremlins" that come up with older vehicles. This website will be a valuable resource when trying to figure out the gremlins.

I'm relatively familiar with Toyotas, because I still own a 2001 Tundra with 330,000 miles on the odometer, and I bought it brand new, and it still runs like new, with all original equipment. The main problem it has is frame rust.

I was stuck between the 4runner and Tacoma for YEARS. Finally pinched my pennies well enough to afford a new 4runner . I tried to sit in the 2020 Tacoma and at 6'4" it was comical.

Ergo... I'm about to own my first 4Runner in the next matter of weeks. Happy to be here and love that this place exists.

Been lurking for a while and finally joined. Trying to decide which 4Runner to buy now

Hi, I am new here. I am trying to figure out what type of 4runner to get. I realized that I am at a point in my life that I can no longer fit everyone and everything into my little truck.

Here I go - new buyer looking for advice. I can comfortably spend $10k of cash on 4runner or I can go with a loan and spend ~$30k. I would rather avoid the loan if I can get reliable daily driver for $10k. What do you say?
