looking at a 2020 limited for my wife this weekend but i wish she would consider the SR5 for cost or because of 4wheel drive selector. I came here to learn about the limited and the unique H4F and H4L drive mode, it might be easier and safer for her if she doesnt have to select her drive but fear i may be loosing some of ruggedness and offroad capability 4runner is know for by going to that system. I planned on keeping this vehicle once she was ready to upgrade as my daily driver and id prefer a more rugged option in that area. SHe also HATES the look of the front grill and wheels on the other trims. I told her wheels are easy to change and i was betting i could upgrade the front bumper too the limited design for much less than going to the limited trim... hope to learn alot, thans for the join

Hey Folks,
Just bought a 2020 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium. Two days old, 81 miles. Still learning about features, buttons and switches, but I think that I'm almost up to speed. No photos yet - it's been dark, snowy and windy lately. Just upgraded from a Jeep Grand Cherokee - so far, the 4Runner is, I believe, a much better vehicle. The only small gotcha that I didn't pick up on before buying it is the limitation of 50mph in 4Hi. But, I guess if I need 4 wheels churning because of ice and snow, I oughta slow down to a reasonable speed. Hope to learn a lot from you folks about this new rig.

Just upgraded from a 97 Limited to a 2016 SR5 Premium a few months back and decided to officially join the site to learn a thing or two...or twenty.

New Member!
Finally jumped over to a 16’ limited 4Runner from a lifted forester XT. All we have done so far is wheels/tires, but man these cars don’t take much to look good! Looking forward to being a part of the forum, first Toyota!

Grand Cherokee was the only car we cross shopped with for the full time AWD and a bit better MPG. The air suspension made me nervous as to longevity, the ride it provided was amazing though. We went with the 4Runner limited for the full time AWD, but the extra MPG the jeep offered would be nice!

New Owner of a 2001 SR5 3rd Gen
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Here is my 3rd gen SR5 that I recently purchased. I bout it with aftermarket wheels and running boards. It currently has 147,000 miles on it and is running strong. I hope to have her for another 150,000.

Long time lurker, first time poster
Got my first 4Runner, a 2018 Limited, last fall. It's a family car for the time being, so no crazy mods, but it's fun seeing what everyone else is doing with their rigs!

a few lame pics will have to suffice....

Looks like some fun trails! Good luck with the awesome new rig.

Just FYI... My buddy just bought a Limited and the stock steps that came on it sacrifice MUCHO ground clearance. Makes my rig look like a Unimog! Lol... Best of luck brother. Whatever choice ya'll make I'm sure you will enjoy the ride.

New to the 4Runners. Picked up a 90 sr5 for $375. The guy said that he thought head gasket but wasn't sure. Hoping to find answers here.
