Greetings, everyone. This forum has been a great help over the few years I've had the 4runner, and the time has come to join up and contribute. Glad to be here!

First Repair in a Foreign Country
Had my 4Runner for 2 months. Driving to work yesterday and the car shifter would move out of drive, but the gears remained in drive. Take you foot off the gas while it’s in park and it would still move. Stupidly, I turned it off and then couldn’t restart. Luckily I work right across from a dealership in Manila. Towed it over and they diagnosed the Transmission shifter Cable needs replaced.
None are available in the Philippines and only 7 currently available in the US. Manila dealer needed to order from Japan and would take 30+ days to arrive. Found a dealer in the US and they’re able to mail it tomorrow. Hoping it arrives within a week.
Back to taxis for now

About to buy my first 4Runner, a '21 SR5 Premium 4x4. Excited to learn more and get some advice on basic initial upgrades, particularly a small lift kit (1-2") primarily for aesthetics, a roof rack for an 11' surf board and snowboard/skis in the winter, and some sweet tires

as far as I know, you can swap the rear disc brakes from a 1st gen sequoia without much modification.

check out this thread on rear disc conversion, great detail and very informative.

I am still trying to figure this sight out. I guess I can only reply so I can't ask questions on the forums yet. Just got my first 4runner 2 weeks ago I ended up buying a 4th gen I really like. I already pulled out the XREAS shocks and struts and switched to regular ones.

Joined last year but not had a lot of time to post up. Slowly building this rig for our ultimate move to Colorado.

I have learned a ton from just creeping around this forum over the past year. Don't get a lot of time to post new stuff, but great to be here.

Me too.
