Hey everyone, new to the forum here.

I’ve been driving an 05 Sport V8 for about a year now with all the classic flaws (Cracked Dash, Cracked Headers, Blown Sub) and have finally decided to do something about it.

Usually do most work myself but I’m getting ready to tackle this leaky Xreas and decided to join for some assistance.

hello! New member here. Looking to get more involved in the community. I love that there's a decade of information out here for the 5th gen.

2001 SR5. To go with my 2020 Taco!

Since I was six years old and I saw a 2nd gen in the parking lot of a Kroger, the 4Runner has been my favorite vehicle. I've decided this year to save money for a 3rd gen, 2001-2002, and finally buy one to make my forever car.

I've read the 3rd gen forum buying guide and made extensive notes. I'm making plans for what upgrades, tires, dashcams, etc I want so I have a whole build list.

Can't even explain how excited I am to save for a goal and make that happen in April of 2022. Hoping the forum is a good spot for ideas, feedback, inspiration, and help.

New to the form- but been stalking for awhile.

Just got a new to me 2006 4th Gen 4Runner, Galactic Grey, with 116K miles on the odometer. Super great truck from what I’ve noticed.

New to the forum! In the market for a T4R or FJ. Market's ridiculous in CA!

Thanks! New parts are on and just waiting for a painter to get to me! Those shops are busy!

Purchased Late Jan 2021 for $7000.......... Plus tax and bs

154K miles. Rough condition. Needed new front axles. Exhaust Manifold leak. Cracked Dash. Suspension was shot.

Few months later. Lots of money and time spent. Got it about where I want it for now.

Been creeping on this forum for all my mods and some minor issues... time to sell the 4Runner so i figured I’d join and post it where I know it’ll be appreciated! I have an ‘01 for sale with 262K miles. Still runs great with no problems. All maintenance has been kept up. 2nd owner, first was a family member. I got it bone stock. Since then I’ve added Eibach coilover suspension with 5th gen springs in the rear. Prinsu roof rack. Custom dual swing out bumper with spare and rotopax. Brand new Katzkin leather. All new speakers and single din radio. 33” toyo ATs with Method 305s. Just going off the top of my head here but I think that’s about it! Also trying to get an idea for a fair price on this thing. Any advice would be great!

On a side note

I'm dancing with a replacement windshield deicer overheating issue . I had my windshield replaced twice and both times I've tested the deicer and the wire to the heating strip overheats, melts and ends up cracking the glass.

I can't help but think that it's the installers issue. Again, never had this issue until the replacement. Unfortunately, I can't trust the windshield provider knows what he''s doing and now I'm moving in the direction of connecting with my dealership service advisor.

Would love to hear your thoughts/feedback for potential troubleshooting options.
