Long time forum user, short time member here. Looking to get another set of tires for my 4th gen 4Runner. I have an SR5 with the 17" rim package and am running 265/70R17 Toyo Open Country AT3's. These tires have lasted me about 1.5 years and have been extremely good to me, but I'm now considering going to the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in a 265/70R17. I have a stock suspension so no lift/leveling kit and have done some light trimming to my front fender to ensure there is no rubbing. My main concern is the fact that the Open country's have a diameter of 31.7" with a 13.3" tread depth and the Baja Boss have a 31.9" diameter with a 16.0" tread depth. Do y'all have any experience the with Baja Boss A/T tires and know if these will require a little more fender cutting or rub on the UCA? Would like to know before I purchase so I can have it done before putting tires on. Thanks!

From what I can tell the shop did use it, and it must be working pretty well. I used to have this issue with the 4runner running down the highway and stopping at intersections coming into town where I would be stopped and the dang transmission would make a loud thud almost as if it were doing a hard downshift. I'm not really sure how to explain it but ever since I got the new radiator/cooler it hasn't done that. And it only did it after I would drive about 30 miles on the highway and then come to the first complete stop.

Hello from the PNW. Just got a new 22 TRD ORP in Army Green. Last vehicle was a 19 Tacoma TRD ORP, loved it, but the seats are made for short people with perfect spines. I took my 17x9 (-12bs) Fuel Beast wheels off the truck and put em on my 4Runner because the bright shiny factory wheels on the 4runner were fugly.
Hoping to fit 285/70/17 on stock height. I'll trim if necessary, as I've owned and lifted many Jeeps. So far, I love this thing, but have yet to put a lot of miles on it. I'll do some light tail riding, but doubt much serious off-roading. I just finished sealing my paint the other day, as the dealership wanted way too much money for their "paint protection" program. I'll eventually lift to level it out, but will have to save up, because I want a smooth, comfortable ride with a great suspension. Thanks for having me here.

New guy here! I just placed my deposit on a 2022 TRD ORP. I'm coming from the Jeep world and cannot wait to get my 4R.
A little about myself, I started the Central Arkansas branch of Rigs and Coffee. Since starting it in January of 2021 I have made countless friends, most of which own Toyotas.
My Jeep was great, took me tons of places without any issue, but it was uncomfortable and with 75k miles on it I kept having to replace parts because i would off-road multiple times a month. I will attach a picture of that build. It was a nice rig, but it was time for reliability and practicality with a future engagement on the way.
One thing i have found out and kind of brushed off when people mentioned it before, but man...the mods are so expensive compared to a Jeep. My build list is already at 16k.
I dont have any photos of the new 4R as its on its way from Japan, but will update when it gets here, although its just black (nothing too exciting haha).
So excited to start the build, even if its going to be slower than the Jeep.

Hello from Springfield, Oregon. I have been lurking on this forum for a few years now and finally decided to make a account to do a write up on some problems I was having with my rig. I need to get my 15 posts before I do my write up but I hope it can help others because it was a real head scratcher for me and took about 6 weeks to figure out.
I love this forum, I have learned allot from y'all.
Thank you

New to New Hampshire
Hello to everyone, I recently moved from Texas to NH. Currently living in Manchester until I find a house to buy. I have two 4Runners, my fiancé drives my black 2016 SR5 and I drive a 2015 TRD Pro. Some may have noticed it, it is the 6" lifted Inferno Orange hanging around the Manchester area(apparently I have the only one). I'll upload some pics as soon as I can. Well, I've been here for about a month now and am eager to meet some fellow 4runners and find out where to go off-roading in this beautiful state. Hit me up, my name is George.

Hello!
New member here. Own a 2000 4x4 v6 Limited. Used it on mail routes until the pink milkshake. Will soon start seeking advice from "survivors". Plan to bump this thread when the time comes.
