Long time lurker first time poster. struggling to find some rear spring information about my 2015 limited. since I'm a new user i cant start a thread yet so I'm typing this here so i can copy it over later.

I recently decommissioned my x-rease system, installed front shocks and springs, and rear shocks, (KYB from Rockauto) now the back seems a bit lower and I'm looking to replace the rear springs but unsure if I need to lift it or not and by how much, not of the parts specify for a Limited trim and i think that's why I may have a lower back i the first place.

Considering Bilstein 400lbs constant weight but worried about performance when I'm not towing. I don't do any extreme off roading so not super worried about that performance, mainly towing. also considering Air bags since i tow enough to justify it.

pics of 4runner, and Bilstein options I am looking at.
Thanks to anyone who read this!

Kinda new guy, bought my 4Runner a month ago. Been lurking on the forum and learning what there is to learn about these things.

Picked up a ‘20 ORP to haul the family and dogs around in.

Hi New member here....

I have 2 4runners actually. 1999 bought in 2002 with 36k miles currently sitting on 460K miles original engine and motor.

The second is a 2006 4runner sport and I need help with it. I bought it with some damage to front end I got 90% ready but theres some small brackets or something in the front that attaches to a metal bar that goes across. The bar holds the bumper support. So from all the pictures I cant figure out what brackets I need and how they are mounted on core support.

Anyhow i'm happy to start looking and doing stuff on this forum.

Hi all, new member so can’t start new thread yet.
Wondering if anyone has a guess to the longevity of a 99 5 speed transmission? I’m at 300k and feeling pretty notchy.
I am aware there are quite a few variables here lol.

Joined here so I have additional forums so I can be productive at work .
Recently acquired a 2004 4Runner SR5 2WD from a good friend and coworker, who purchased it brand new and I bought it from him now at 180,000 miles. Needs a few things but for $500 he wanted for it I cannot complain one bit. Car has never left Texas its whole life so rust is pretty non-existent.

Slowly been fixing it up and last think I have to do is find a faint grinding noise coming from the rear end. I think it may be a bearing on the right-hand side since when I turn to the right the noise is much quieter. This weekend plan on taking the rear axle shaft out and checking the bearing for noise and play.

Project "Ole Silver" is coming along.

Hi, I'm David and this is actually my first time using any type of forum but I'm trying to get some information on my Gen 3 4Runner and I'm sure someone here has the answers. I have a 2000 SR5 2WD 347,000 mile 4Runner with blue leather interior (FA16) and I can't seem to find any information on this interior ever existing. I've never seen another like it. Anyway I'm hoping to find new carpet and replacement leather for the front seats to complete the interior refresh. I look forward to some answers.
Thanks in advance!

Howdy

Figured I'd make my first introductory post.
Lurked here for quite a bit before picking up my 4runner.
Found me a 07 limited with the 4.7l. So far couldn't be happier.
Tore my abs harness and breakline first weekend out couple months ago and this fourm helped me big time. Fixed the harness up quick with a simple solder kit, and cut a new breakline. 👌
Figured I would make my first post since I'm in the market for new tires.
I do a ton of highway driving weekdays(Monday-Thursday)and off-road regularly on the weekends (Fridays-Saturdays). Looking for a solid a/t that won't kill me on mpg while still being reliable on Trail.
Looking at:
•Firestone Destination A/T2
•Michelin Defenders
And
•Cooper discovery at3

Any insight or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

New Member Lift Recommendations

I came to this forum looking for help. I am not a mechanical car guy but love my 4runner for what I like to do which is hiking and camping. Wanting advice on a lift kit but just found out I can't start a new thread yet.

I have a 2011 stock trail edition with KDSS. I just relocated my 4runner from coastal SC to Southern UT. My 4runner will still be used on pavement 90% of the time but dirt and unimproved roads to reach some trail heads the other 10%. No rock crawling and dont plan on making adjustments to lift unless that is what you need to do.

First, any recommendations for off road shops in souther UT (st. George / zion area) for doing a lift?

Any recommendations on a 3 inch lift kit?

The local Toyota dealer wants to install a Toytec lift for $3400.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi have a 2002 toyota 4runner. Been fighting the vf3am transfer case. I need assistance timing the actuator. Lots of posts saying dont remove it. Case has to be split.
The gear was removed prior to my involvement. The front axle actuator was damaged and replaced. And have tried every thing but removing the tcase. Removed it last night and split it. No information in toyota service info reguarding the actuator. They remove the actuator with the shift shaft installed. The actuators on amazon or ebay either are correct with no shift shaft or are the wrong style of actuator with the 3bolt cover with shaft. Same on forums and youtube videos. Tried ordering one of those anyway and verified it does not have the snap rings or lock grooves. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hello everyone. New member/owner here. Just picked up my first 4runner. After driving this thing for less than a week I cannot believe we haven't done this before now! It'll join the Wrangler in our stable.
