My name is Jacob, joined up on the forums in search of a replacement 4runner for the one I currently have.
Started out in the VW world as a teenager, moved onto BMWs, bought a 2014 TT FJ Cruiser (red) that I sold/miss dearly, and now have a 1998 Sr5 4Runner in white. The vehicle used to belong to my brother and he sold it to me after he upgraded to a 2002 4runner Sport. I needed a 2nd vehicle as a daily and winter vehicle side by side with my "toy": 2005 BMW 330i ZHP.
Currently, Im looking for a black/cloth 2001-2002 4Runner Sport to replace my 1998 at the moment. Been searching for around 2 months and its been a patience tester but Im confident I'll eventually find the right one.
Anyways, the 1998 is white. Rhinolined bumpers and flares, removed the step rails, frame is in excellent shape as well as the interior/body, and it has 191k on it. Super solid truck for me so far

Great choice on upgrading those rims I personally went with tundra 17" split 5 spoke, I haven't put them on yet though, but anything is better than those split 3 spoke rims. Great looking 4Runner too!

Thanks! I was originally looking at the Tundra 5 spoke, but caught a good deal on these and went for it.

Hi all! New member here. Noob to 4Runners completely, but not a noob to cars. I just picked up a 2004 4Runner Sport V8 the other day. I just wanted something more practical for MTB riding and camping. Completely different from what I've been driving, but so far I like it. Hoping to do some minor mods and just enjoy it.

Your 4Runner looks awesome, is that the Yakima Loadwarrior or Megawarrior? How do you like it? Thinking about picking up the Megawarrior.

It's the Loadwarrior and I have had no issues out of the rack itself. I actually do not have the spare tire in it anymore because I hit a pothole going down the road and both crossbars the rack was attached to snapped. Needless to say I didn't wanna risk it again

New 4Runner owner in Northern Colorado! This is my first adventure into 4Runner ownership and I'm already quite excited. She's stock for now but there are plans to get her trail ready over the winter so I can start enjoying the beautiful mountains!

Not a new owner but I finally registered here. I've used this site for research in the past and lurked a bit. My 4runner is in my signature. 2003 SR5 that I've had since 2006. Best vehicle I've ever owned. I'm getting all kinds of ideas looking at all the pictures on here.

Thanks! There is a lot of room in the cabin, height and cargo space.
At home, I applied a coat of High Gloss Sealant Glaze followed by a coat of Brazilian carnauba wax, I even put the wax on the windows, windshield, headlight and taillights...to protect it from acid rain etcing...call me crazy. But is looks great.
Got factory all weather mat package and some mud flaps. That is going to be the extent of mods on this one
Following the advice found on the article, going to get my firsts oil changed, then again one at 1K miles. After that, normal scheduled maintenance.
