So, The problem is that the belt keeps jumping a rib on the harmonic balancer. Think it may be associated with the A/C compressor, so am gong to try it w/o the A/C on.

Value Judgement...
Hi, I posted a couple of weeks ago for the first time here. I'm in a decision pickle.
I am dead set on buying my first 4Runner. The question is which of the currently best options that I can do here in Ohio.
- 2016 SR5 with 45k for $29000 out the door. 1 owner, was a rental, clean carfax otherwise. Has fold flat 3rd row seats.
- 2015 SR5 with 23k for $29000 out the door. 1 owner, lease, clean carfax. Has fold flat 3rd row seats.
- 2013 Certified with 53K for $26500 out the door. 1 owner, person, clean carfax.
- 2008 Sport V8 with 108K for $16500 out the door. 1 owner, clean carfax, not sure if the timing belt was replaced at 90k.
- 2008 Sport V6 with 81K for at worst $16500 out the door. Multiple owners, clean carfax.
- 2006 Sport V8 with 70K for at worst $16500 out the door. Just listed, 1 owner, no carfax yet.
- 2004 Sport V8 with 156K for around $8500 out the door. I test drove this one, it's check engine light was on. Clean carfax, multiple owners, but no record of 90k service.
I drive about 20K miles per year, mostly highway for work. I'd like to pull a camper/tavel trailer two or three times a year, but nothing hardcore.
I really want to run my 4Runner to at least 250K, which I know is no problem. The newer models would be the most expensive on the list to drive to 250K, but they have the 3rd row, and they'd also be the youngest in age when they get there. Its a tough call, looking for thoughts and advice, PM's welcome.
Thanks! I can't wait to post pictures when I finally buy one, I 've been driving a minivan for the past 10 years LOL!

New Member Wheel Question
New member with a 2016 Limited. I am looking for help with downsizing my wheels and tires for a better ride. I do not do much off roading. Mostly highway and rough country roads. The 20" stock wheels and Bridgestones are horrible for ride quality and don't look very good on the 4runner. Am looking at Black Rhino Tauos and 265 65 18's. Will they rub or be problem. Height is virtually the same but width is about .75 wider. Could I go to a 275. Thinking of Toyo's or Michelins
Thanks for looking and wold enjoy a bit of help not just one liners.

Have you tried googling the actual tire dimensions and compare them to the tires you have. That's where I'd start

I've owned 6 and 8 cylinder and I personally will never go back to the 6 banger even if I have to keep 4th gen. I hear the new ones ride like crap anyways

New Member Wheel Question
Am new as of today. Own a new 4runner Limited. Want to change tires and wheels for a better ride. Do mostly highway with some rough country roads. No extreme off roading. Need help with sizes. Do not care about lifts and such. Just want to improve look and get a better ride. Original equipment is unbecoming to this car on the limited. Thanks for the help where do I go on the threads?

- 05 sr5 4.7L V8 w/ 180,000
- 3 in. Toytech lift
- 32 in. Tires it's just some off brand one that I was able to find for a good price

Apparently he did, because he said it's virtually the same height and .75 wider.
@ texpop
, there are a few threads on here for Limited tire options. What you gain is sidewall height which can soften the ride. It may not just be your tires, however, and after you go to the expense of going to 18" wheels you may not see much difference. There's already a fair amount of sidewall on the 20" wheels, but tires are hard to find which is why some people switch.
Don't think you need to worry about rubbing if .75" wider though.
20 inch wheels on LIMITED
