What do you guys think? Carfax shows lots of maintenance records and is owned by the original owner. Should I pick this girl up? I do not know a whole lot about 4runners, but I am a college student who was looking to get into a tacoma before this came up.
Whatcha guys think?

Check it out the same way you'd check out a tacoma and look for all the usual suspects. That's a really good price and in Cali where I am would fetch closer to $14k. TBH, I'd be a bit cautious. My 2006 model with 112k miles (but V8 instead of the V6) was $11k, but was uber clean in and out, and r4unners cost a lot in Cali.

Greetings from Park Ridge, IL...just outside Chicago. I got a black 2015 TRDPro a few weeks ago, have been watching the forums, and my account here just became active today. No major mods yet. So far just some accessory type things: 4Runner floor mats, and sliding cargo tray cover, Factor 55 hitch receiver & shackle, and black out kit for rear emblem and letters.
Down the road, I'd like rock sliders, a front bumper with winch, roof rack, and some light kits. No decisions on any of those things though, and will be hoping to get good ideas here. Cheers! Ron

2 time 4runner owner and first time poster. Had a 2000 SR5 that finally went to Toyota heaven last year. I missed it so much, and now have a job where I can afford a new one, just picked up a 2017 TRD ORP here in San Diego. Already hit some trails east of Julien and got back from Big Bear camping last night. Man I have missed my old rig, but the new one is easily winning me over. Glad to finally officially join the community.
Getting 5100s and new tires soon, before and after pics to follow in appropriate threads.

We mostly took the XV on fire roads but at the rate we were using it along with the RTT on top, i had a feeling that the XV was not going to last long. We needed something roomy and very capable, did some research and picked up a 2017 4runner TRD off road, the factory lockers sold me. No KDSS or bedsliders. Took it to big bear 48 hrs after purchase to camp and understand its 4x4 system.

Wow, ironic. I'm the post just prior to yours, and I also just went from a Crosstrek to a '17 TRD Off-Road! No regrets

Fellow Toyota owner here from southern CA. I'm a huge 4r fan but just haven't come across the right one. Not a 4runner owner now but we share some parts as I drive an FJ Cruiser. Look forward to wheeling with you guys!

Hello all
New here. Trying to sell parts truck. Not sure why I cannot list one so I figured I'd say hello and see if it's a bot check. My wife has been abusing a 97 SR5 for 20 years and 264000 miles now, still runs fine but Michigan's 2nd rate road care has eaten the frame near all the way through. I replaced it with a Highlander and while it fits our family needs best, she's already going on about how I get it asap so she can get a new 4 runner.

Hello from Kalamazoo, MI
Going to set the FJ aside for awhile and drive the new TRD Pro I picked up today. I've been admiring the Pro's and Trail/OR's for a couple of years now. Been lurking for the last few months and learning from the knowledgeable people here on the forum. 👏🏼 Thanks for adding me to the community. 👍🏼😊

Congrats on your purchase. I like the Barcelona Red myself and preferred it over Cement. I like it a bit better than the FJ that I traded on it. No blind spot and a few more creature comforts.

After much thought, research and hours spent reading this forum I've finally traded in my 2012 Ram 1500 for a 2017 T4R TRD Off Road.
Can't express how excited I am to join this community and see where the mods take me!!!

I just joined the 4runner club!
I had a moment of reflection when I was sawing a 8" stump from under my Highlander's muffler, having backed into it in a forest clearing. I realized the Highlander is not much more than a minivan, and that I needed the 4runner.
My wife and I just purchased a 2011 SR5 with 75k miles.
Over the next few months, as I save up, I would like to lift it and give it offroad bumpers, sliders and skid plates.
Then I'll laugh at 8" stumps!

My friends call me "Blues." Nice to meet y'all. See ya 'round the forums I reckon....

Since we both have to get to the 15 post limit before doing anything else anyway, what's the gist of your 4runner's story?

We have started calling the new Runner Xterra because we keep accidentally calling her that in conversation, out of habit. So far it sticks, so we may continue with it lol.

I too had a 2006 Xterra which I loved. Mine was solar yellow, and we called it "The Flying Cheese Curd". So far we've not come with a new name for my new 4Runner, but I'm thinking "White Cheddar".
