I'm in the same boat. Bought a 2005 from Chicago area. Needed a lot of work and now I am going to start cleaning up the rust. Lived in Florida all my life, so I'm not accustomed to the orange stuff and I don't like it.

New here. The 3rd Gen Buyer's Guide really helped me pick out the right choices when looking for a new winter daily driver. Looked for 2 years and now the proud owner of a 2000 Limited with Rear Diff Lock.

Hello all! Wes here. New to the forums but not new to 4runners. Been driving a 2002 SR5 for a few years now but just upgraded to a 2015 Runner. Been lurking on the forum for a while now trying to decide what year/edition i wanted. I ended up getting a silver trail pre the other day.



I'm quite the audiophile and decked out the sound system in my 2002 . I want to hurry and change out the sound system in the 2015 but after reading through @Desert dawg 's thread at least 10 times, I have decided to work on some exterior changes first!

Already in a tough spot because I traded out my OEM wheels with some 20's on my uncle's tacoma.. Put some thin toyo's around them but they still rubbed pretty badly.



Tomorrow, I'm gonna order some Fuel Hostage III wheels. Super excited to get those in because I can't drive it until then!



Since I'm having to spend more on wheels, I will be running with my factory tires until I use them up. Next thing I want to do is work on my front and back valences. I want them to be matte black.. Not sure how I want to go about that.. I was considering plasti-dipping them, then i saw some had vinyl wrap put on them. Any advice on what I should do? Pretty new to all of this!

Hi guys I have a 97 4runner Sr5 sitting outside with a broken ignition cylinder. We sat there for several hours just trying to get it to turn over to acc. To no prevail. I proceeded to remove all the paneling just to discover the key lock is bolted around steering column with no thread . So it's a 100% stuck. However I've heard about drillingg out these ignitions. I've noticed some people go through the main key hole.

Hello all, my name is Rob. Not new to forums or Toyotas by any means. I've been a member of Yotatech, ToyotaNation, Toyotaminis, TToa and a few other non specific Toyota car forums with my '94 22re 2wd desert truck for many years.

I just picked up a bone stock '99 4runner V6, auto, 2wd from my sister and brother in law for the sum of FREE-fiddy. They are moving and can't take all 4 vehicles with them, so they gave it to me. It's got a lot of miles on it (279k) and it needs a little TLC and a few parts thrown at it but its a pretty good runner.

Plans (for now) are to catch up on a few maintenance items and daily drive it to build the 94 a little more.

What's up guys. Just joining in on all the fun. I sold my 08 Urban Runner in January and bought a Tundra. I really miss her, so I'm on the hunt for my fourth 4Runner and thought this would be a nice place to look and get back into the swing of things with like-minded people.
