ELLO . A few months ago I bought Duratracs. 265/75/16. I prolly have around 4 to 5k on them. Well at the time I wasn't planning on lifting just yet. So now that it is about to be lifted I'm gonna sell the 265s and go with 285/70/17s Duratracs. These are by far my favorite looking and performing tires. My 4runner will never see off road. Yes I am a Mall Crawler. lol I'm buying Method Standard 17x9 -12 Offset. I was gonna wait for the 265s to wear out but 75k + is like 8 yrs for me. LOL Here's the wheel. I hate black rims. Its a me too rim. Everyone has them. No offense to all the fine peeps who run them. I'm old school. I like shiny. LOL Happy New Year Y'all

Hello all. New 4 runner owner here...2018 limited black/tobacco. Looking forward to learning about these trucks and contributing when I can.

New here as well. Just bought a '99 5spd T4R. Done about 600 miles so far, its been great.

Wife and I just picked up our used '04 V6 SR5 in Loganville, GA. 1 previous owner, no accidents (I hope), 220k miles, looking surprisingly pretty inside and out. Engine parts have some rust but everything sounding and working sweetly. I think we got a good deal at $6,500!

Looking forward to many more miles on this road warrior. This forum has already been super helpful as we prepare for a few heavy days on the road - relocating our lives from Washington, D.C. to Oregon. Had to have a burly vehicle to haul our stuff and support a new lifestyle - T4R fits the bill! Last car was a '03 Subaru WRX Wagon - killed by rust @ 154k miles when suspension components kept breaking.


Will be making some mods asap to the cabin for a more comfortable long-haul experience, starting with some beautiful ambient interior lighting tip I found here. Think I'll do that in red !

Once we're settled I hope to get handy and do all routine maint + mods. It'll be my first time working on a car and this forums will be extremely helpful.

Thanks in advance to all the gurus out there for answering so many questions in advance and showing us how to get the most out of these rides. I'll be checking in.

First post. Just bought a 16 sr5. I'm excited about it. So I'm posting about it.

This is my 3rd 4Runner. Owned a 2nd and 3rd Gen as well. I'm in Charlotte NC and looking forward to mods, probably exhaust and then possibly front and rear lockers or lift afterwards.

Signed up for friendly info from you guys. I currently purchased a 2006 4runner v8 4x4 with 99k. Only one issue, the bad boy carries a salvage title, but This thing is immaculate.

I purchased from the auction and it fixed it. Not a major accident, but the driver airbag deployed and replaced it.

The thing runs like it was new, however at idle or drive/ stopped position the car has very small noticeable vibration.

Changed all the spark plugs and records show the timebelt was done at 85k.

Any help will do..
