Picked up my first 4Runner, a 2014 SR5 Premium a week and a half ago. Very much enjoying it. First mod was to remove the running boards today. Next will be a dual battery setup and Cooper discoverer AT3 tires. Coming from 18+ years of Land Rover's and I still have a 1998 Discovery I LSE that is in excellent condition and used in the summer now only.
Hey everyone. I just bought a 96' 4runner a little less than a month ago. This morning I drove two blocks from my house and the starter burned out. Smoke was everywhere!! It's got about 209,000 miles on it. Could it be the original starter?

Definitely.
I just replaced the contacts in my starter. It's nowhere near that old but with the right maintenance...it could be original
Hi Everyone! New 4runner owner here. Proud owner of a black TRD pro, 2019 edition! Hoping to get offroad on some trails in Colorado... but am definitely a newbie about everything off road! Traded in my F150 FX4 which has been up some mountain trails but not nearly enough since I live in Denver.
