1995 22RE 4Runner 5-speed
New to the forum here...and new to 22RE maintenance.
I found an unplugged wire on my front diff and am wondering where it goes to? I found another wire that was disconnected also and they look like they might belong. Any help for a n00b? Thank you!

#1 Okay I'm a newbie to the forum. I'm a car hobbyist meaning I enjoy troubleshooting and repairing car related issues because I like the challenge and bringing the vehicle to the local mechanic is, as all of you from California will likely agree, expensive.
I may as well post the question here because 15 post that are meaningful may take a bit to conjure up and time is of the essence as my daughter uses this car for college and summer school. I could do one word per post then when you read them in order the question would amount to a lot more than 15 but that may be a frustrating read.
I've got a third generation 2001 4runner with a 6 cylinder. She has 218k mile on her and I just replaced the timing belt. Not easy but I got it done. I fired up the car and everything sounds smooth. I drove it about 15 to 20 minutes and the CES light came on. I went to the auto parts store to barrow the computer. the codes read are, in order on print out, P0301 (cylinder 1 Misfire), P0300 (Random Misfire), P0304 (Cylinder 4 Misfire). I removed battery lead and reconnected, code cleared, then reappeared after about 15 minutes of driving. I checked wiring harnesses and general wiring for poor connections or poor ground. All checked out. went for another drive and and CSE went back on, I stopped the car to get my mail out of the box (the car is still running very smooth while I'm getting the mail) I got back in and put it in drive and the CES light went off????? Can you direct me to a resource that may be able to help answer to this elusive issue?

You might be better off asking again in another thread after you are able to.

New To Toyotas, Loving My 4Runner
Just want to introduce myself, before I became a member I did learn a lot about what I wanted to do and what to look out for when I was buying my 4Runner from this forum. Thanks

New to forum. Bought a 2004 4wd V8 about a year ago and this place was invaluable as far as pre-purchase info. Replaced the brakes but only minor stuff done to the 4runner since then. I'm currently in the process of building and fitting a roof rack and diagnosing an issue with the ABS accumulator/pump.

New to the forum and am looking to buy my fist 4runner. Looking for suggestions on dealers in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana to contact for the best pricing. Trying to decide on lease (with option to buy) vs a straight up purchase.
The Market in this area tends to be dominated by domestic manufacturers (FCA, GM, Ford) which scares me a bit when it comes to pricing and available discounts... not to mention available vehicles. any suggestions from the group?
Thanks
Jeff

Forgive me if this is not were I should be posting I have never been part of a forum and it didn't allow me to post anywhere else. I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been wanting a 4runner for a very long time and I finally bought a brand new 2019 a few weeks back. I'm super excited as it's basically my dream vehicle and my very first new vehicle ever! It's a white TRD ORP I bought it completely stock, I've already switched out the silver valance panels to black and I'm getting wheels and tires installed on Saturday! I've lurked around here for a bit and have found a lot of useful information and decided to join and be a part of the community. I'm also looking for recommendations on leveling out the front of my vehicle. I'm not ready to do I full on lift but also not sure on adding spacers to the front what would be the best way to go about this?
Thanks in advance!

Those are 2 nice looking rigs.
I have owned two, the previous was a 1990, current one is a 2000 I bought in 2001 with 19,000 miles on it. New here on the forums.

Hello all
New to this Forum. but not to Toyota's, still a member on TacomaWorld, and lurk it constantly after I had sold my Tacoma a year ago. Now I am here with a 2010 4runner. Hope to gain some knowledge here, cheers to all!
