That would be a nice addition. Prior to purchasing my 4runner last weekend, my newest car was a 2006. I'm just excited to have bluetooth in my vehicle!

Hey I’m from Clayton, NC. Just bought my first 4Runner. It’s a 2016 SR5. Looking to do some mods to it. Also a billet grill came with it when I bought it. Looking to find original grille so I can change it to the TRD Pro look. If anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks so much.

Screens
Hi! Wow, so much here. New member saying hello, happy owner of a 3rd-gen 4WD.
I'm so used to this truck that when I step into some newer vehicle, I see first off the sort of wash of screens, HUD displays, blinking lights, automatic this and that.
And I think – how do they expect this stuff to last?
Give me a couple analog dials. We're good. The most advanced thing on my truck is the automatic windows. In terms of distance it's been to the moon. No screens. Like the Apollo mission, but on the ground. Which I guess is unlike the Apollo mission, haha.
I mean, no shade – I get it, screens are great, we use them all the time every day for everything else – and you can't not get them now with a newish car. But sometimes I step into my truck and I'm like, ahhhhhh.....
Like a record player. It just is what it is.

Finally bought the T4R I've been wanting 😀
Just over a month old and have hit 2k miles. Now I'm ready to really take her out and see what she can do!

Unfortunately I recommend a dash cam just to protect your investment. And congrats on the runner!

Congrats on the new to you runner! Its hard to not jump to the big mods but I recommend finding everything the PO neglected and once that is sorted move from there. For me it's timing belt, valve cover gaskets, and basically all ball joints.
Cheers!

New from AZ
Morning all,
I have lurked as a non-member for a while while helping my neighbor fix up his GEN2 4Runner.
I finally went and bought a badly abused 1996 SR5 and plan to lightly modify it for camping and ski trips.
First priority is no signal to the starter relay. Then find out why the clutch engages with-in .5 inch of the floor...
Everything else is is minor and just neglect.
Thanks for all the previous info.

Howzit I installed the H&R lift springs over the weekend. I am very happy with the ride. It worked with all the factory components. The kit was $350.

Hello, all,
Typical story, been lurking since I picked up my 1996 4runner just about a year ago, and finally decided to introduce myself.
This is it when I purchased it. Bone stock except for mudding tires, and a regular unicorn: 5-speed with factory e-locker. Quite a bit of neglect as well, with about 267k miles on it.
And this is it today after quite a lot of work and money, with plenty of plans for the next year. About 285k miles on it now as my daily driver.
