Hello im new to the forum i just picked up a 1990 4 runner. Got it from the original owner and i did get it cheap was mainly looking to just stick it on a deer lease but now i may actually fix everything wrong with all pretty basic stuff. Original owner just did not maintain it so oil leaks etc.. ill be looking for recommend suppliers and basic information on these vehicles. Thanks.

Engine Crank While Running Prevention Question
Hi everyone! Brand new here. I recently purchased a used 2015 Trail Premium 4Runner and had a question I can't seem to find an answer to: Do these trucks come with a safety feature to prevent engine cranking if the motor is already running?
I ask because I want to know what would happen if I accidentally cranked it over while inserting my key after using my aftermarket remote-start key to turn on the 4rnr. I have the physical-key version (NOT push-to-start).
Thanks!
Blessings,
Ryan

Hello! Edge here from Spring, TX. I recently bought an Army Green 2020 TRD Pro. I call it, "Gunship." My last car, an Audi A4 was called, "Spaceship."
I'm a former active duty Marine and currently in the National Guard. I plan on doing some trails, off-roading, and overlanding with my wife, my son and his girlfriend.
So far, I have Shrockworks sliders, Rago rear storage, and Apex Overland recovery points. I have a Sherpa Equipment Co. roof rack coming sometime, a Detours of Maine hitch-mounted swing-out spare tire carrier, and a Baja ladder for the hatch. Once I get all that on Gunship, I think that'll be it for a while.
I also have a Kuat NV 2.0 bike carrier that I'll be taking on weekends to different parks and trails so my wife and I can ride them.

Back again.....
Hello everyone.....
I’m a previous member several years ago. More specifically, in 2013 as that’s the year I traded in my 08 and bought my Trail Edition.
After 7 fun years of driving that beauty, I’m now driving a 2020 TRD Pro....and you glorious bastards are my 1st stop after the dealership.
Thanks for having me back!

Oh Man those trails look awesome. I have been dreaming of doing the Co Backcountry Discovery Route but my back issues have had me totally sidelined. Was supposed to be up there last Aug. Same as you. Bucket List for sure.

New member Intro!
Hows it going everyone?
This is my first post (obviously). I have been a member here since 2018 but never posted anything, mostly just reading posts about experiences and information.
I purchased a 2004 4Runner a couple of years ago with some grand ideas about building it into an overland rig. I was in the market for another vehicle anyway and figured it was the perfect excuse to buy something I could build over time. Fast forward to today, the 4runner is still stock (although I have a lift sitting in the garage, and wheels and tires on the way) and I am looking into what other mods I want to do.
I have been looking into rear bumpers with swingarms/tire carriers. They are quite pricey without going the DIY/weld it together kits. The welding I can do, I have stiff for that already (machining and metalworking is a hobby). I really decided to start posting to get some opinions on this. I've been looking at the coastal offroad rear bumper kit, or maybe a 4x4 labs one (but the cross member chop I would rather not do). What are your guy's takes on this?
Also, this forum has been a great source of information and inspiration!

Hello all! How goes it? Just purchased a 2001 SR5 2WD with around 250~k miles on it. In decent shape, few body issues, someone painted black over the shiny chrome stock bumpers . Beggars can't be choosers, picked this one up for a steal!
Few issues of course as is expected with a car of this age, few interior cosmetic issues as well. Hoping to make a few knowledgeable friends from this forum and gain some new info about the car and brand.
Definitely gonna be looking for LA connections for parts, service and maybe a few meets or trails to run with the family!

Hello all. I’ve wanted a T4R since I was a kid and finally got one 30 years later. Bought a 1994 2WD about 6 months ago and blew a head gasket about 3 weeks later. Maybe a blessing cus I bought a 95 4WD and have had it for about 4 months now. Can’t wait to take it on some trails and have some fun. I’ve looked through a lot of threads and it has helped me a lot. Hope to get a lot more.

I really like the army green TRD Pro, I think they look great! Sounds like you have a great build in the works. I am trying to decide on a rear bumper with a swingarm for my 4th gen.

$3500
It's not the greatest, but it's a steal to me, compared to some other prices I see.
Interior is practically pristine, a few scratches by the key hole, small ones in the center console, but nothing major. Biggest thing it needs as far as interior goes is a driver side seat belt and sun visors.

I'm south of you in Kemah. Can I ask where you bought, and what you paid out the door? I'm going back and forth with a 19 and a 20 at the moment... I appreciate the help.

Hey guys Kiwi here just picked up a nautical Blue trd orp and an already loving it. Currently it is pretty much stuck besides leds and some Plasti dip. Hopefully I'll get some more going to get it more ready for some light trails, camping, malls, and especially towing. I also own a s2000 that I do track events with so I can't wait to tow it to events.

Hey all. I’ve been lurking on this site to get info for about a yr now. Pulled the trigger and got a 2019 pro a few months back. Excited to learn more about the runner and what it’s capable of. Thanks all
