new to forum
G'Day

Been lurking for a bit and finally jumping on the forums. I've looking to buy a vehicle for a while now and the 4Runner is on my list. Hope to find one which works best and within my budget because I've seen a few that are amazing but, sadly, budget can't be stretched that far.

Live in San Diego CA and looking to get out more to do trails and camping with the family.

Wondering if drivetrain from early 90s 4wd pickup will bolt into the 88 4wd runner. Motor trans, rear driveshaft.

New to the forum
Finally decided to join this forum. Read lots of info before purchasing my 4th gen. It's been a few years since I've had a 4runner. Previous was a gen 1 85' and I feel like an idiot for letting that go. Now I've got an 05' limited V8, 2" radflow lift with coilovers, full under armor from Bud Built, Addicted Offroad front bumper and sliders. Only thing not working is the Nav.

Nice score! What size wheels are those? Also, do you have any salted roads where you are at in Utah? Lastly, did these 4th gens suffer the same frame rot problems as the 3rd gens?

awesome looking truck. I'm debating between a 4th gen or a high-mileage 5th gen to replace my diesel Touareg. Every time I see a non-limited 5th gen on the highway I automatically start drooling.

Hello all!

New here, but not new to forums.

My gf is looking to trade her 3rd gen Tacoma in for a 5th gen t4r. Excited to get working on a new project, and from my reading I'm going to have a good time installing her lift with KDSS.

We haven't made the switch yet, still shopping around for the right deal, but stoked to be here and become a part of the community
