Another new member out in Colorado. I picked up my 2020 SR5 last Friday. The first vehicle I ever bought myself was a '91 xtracab pickup with a stick and the fantastic little 22RE. Hoping the 4Runner is as great as that little truck was.

Like most I am here to tap into the community knowledge base, but the bickering provides some entertainment as well.

Now I'm having drive line vibration under load. Thinking U-joints. Anyone else experience this?

I've been a Toyota fanboy since I was 13. That was the first time I saw a 4Runner. That first gen 4Runner was completely different than anything else in the church parking lot. When I was 20, I bought my first Toyota Truck, a 4 wheel-drive 1988 22RE. It was a huge upgrade over my 1981 Honda Civic. I currently own a 1996 Tacoma that I have had for the past 11 years. Somehow, it has survived all of the abuse I have thrown at it. Last year, I bought my first 4Runner... A 2004 Limited with the V8. If I had the garage space and money, I'd own every classic Toyota I could get my hands on (including the 2000GT, MR2, and Supra).

Now that I have moved to central Utah, I've decided to jump on the overlanding bandwagon. There are so many places to explore and play here, and I want to be able to visit them without always having to drag a trailer along behind me. Currently, I am waiting on a roof basket, ARB awning, and ARB awning room. It will be a welcome upgrade for my wife and 2 dogs trying to sleep in the back of the 4Runner.

Hey, new guy here. I'm lucky enough to have recently purchased a 15' SR5, and today a 99' Limited 4WD (Has the locker & multi mode 4wd - that is rare, yes?). I don't know enough about vehicles to sound like I know wtf I'm saying, but I love this stuff regardless. So thank you for providing the space to learn, and partake anyhow ;) Looking forward to picking some brains and shootin some ___.

Hey there! I've used this forum to search for answers to a lot of my questions. Figured I'd finally join in. We have a 2016 Trail Premium in Barcelona Red and absolutely love it! I'm an avid mountain biker, snowboarder, and most recently I'm getting back into camping, so we use our 4Runner for lots of different things. Here are a couple recent shots of the rig. We've done quite a bit to it since, though. Need to take some more photos! Anyway, glad to finally join in and looking forward to learning more!

I’m on a Facebook group (3rdgen4rmafia) and I frequently saw links to this forum. I read a forum someone had posted about what mods or maintenance you should do depending on your 4R expectations. Daily. Weekend warrior and extreme etc etc. it had really good info and I failed to save it. I finally registered and will probably get lost in the thousands of posts here but I’ll give it a try. I have a 3rd gen 4runner 4wd with 360xxx miles. I got it off a buddy who was the 2nd owner and did just basic maintenance and repairs. I want to eventually build her up but not until I know I’ve done whatever maintenance and upkeep I can to ensure a reliable vehicle. No point in having a rig if she don’t run right... lol anyways I’m clueless to mechanical practices. I’ve replaced an air filter and converted all lighting to led. Thanks in advance for Patience and help.

Oh and me and my sister are planning on buying new 2021 4runners this upcoming year. #TeamYota #MobbDeep
