Another new member. Recently picked up a '20 TRD ORP as a transition from my '18 Tacoma. Growing family dictated more back seat space. Overall I have to say I'm really liking the 4R much more than the Tacoma.

New 4runner owner, had a 2007 FJ for 7 years, then had two kiddos and needed more room. Now I got the 2008 4runner limited with 120k on the clock and gold trim 😉 love it! But miss the stick shift and the sportiness.

Thanks T4R for all the helpful information. I've been all over this forum for the last few days working on ideas on how to build up and fix this new to me 2003 4Runner. It drives so great despite having far too many miles on it; 316,000.

I'd been itching for a 4Runner for far too long to handle hunting and future (but not too soon) daddy things but didn't want to get into a new monthly bill. I'd been bugging my wife about it for far too long, enough that she even started looking around to help me out and found this one. We found it in Atlanta for about $4500 that ended up needing a bit of exhaust and brake work but seems to be mostly rust free or at least nothing serious. I was able to get into it without spending too much more than my old car was worth so it was a dead trade after selling off my last ride.

Sadly, she just threw the P0420 code last weekend that I'll be working through. This forum has been exceptionally helpful in diagnosing the issue. Hopefully it'll just be the downstream bank 1 O2.

I've had an incredibly hard time not spending the money for a Prinsu rack and good LED bar and making cosmetic changes. SO many ideas and mods but repairs come first. Thanks again T4R.

Just got a 2016 SR5 in blue with only 19,000 miles on it. Too nice of a rig for me but couldn't pass up the deal. Going to do limited mods on it...

New to this forum but not forums in general have been lurking and doing a lot of reading. Picked up the wife a nice 2001 Limited a few months ago. Still have a few bugs left to work out but overall a very nice runner. Will def. post some pictures when I can.

New member here. Picked up my new 2021 Super White ORP last week. Have been a fan of 4Runners for many years and finally have one. It ticked all the boxes except for the gas mileage. Will be using it for a daily driver and to access hiking areas here in BC Canada. I have done the mod to add wireless charging to the console already. The 2021 LED headlights are incredible, never had a vehicle with such good visibility at night. Likely won't do any other mods until ready to replace the tires when they wear out at which point will likely get a 2 inch lift and 33s.

Which option did you go with to black out the valences? plasti-dip or...?

I ended up buying the OEM black valences from Toyota of Cool Springs. They had the second to lowest price I could find, but they also sent me a coupon for significantly discounted shipping.

Contemplated painting or plasti-dipping the silver valences, but I've never had success with either solution. I'm confident this is user error (likely impatience) but for longevity it was worth it for me to just buy the OEM pieces.

I want to do a tuning: power bumpers, a winch and replace the tires with a larger size. Mostly I need a good power bumper design with a winch and additional lighting.
